I am pretty sure there is a “first time mother” at work here! The bird seems happy to use my decoration material from my little planter ……but why, why, would you set up shop above a motion sensor light?? They sure will never sleep through the night ;-)!

Only the last two weeks left in August this year! Think fast if you want to spent a quiet, relaxing week at a gorgeous place with a fantastic view, the most beautiful sunsets along Lake Huron and a lovely sandy beach! (this can not be said in any other way, really!

Bookings during summer 2012

Just looking at June/July and August. We still have some openings for June. In July there is the week from the 15th - 22nd available and in August, only the last two weeks of this year are still available at this point. Think quick if you want to spent an awesome week (or two) at a gorgeous place right on the lake with a sandy beach and the absolutely most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever see…….

After our yo-yo winter, it sooo feels like spring today! We are totally pumped for the new season coming up! I will change my interior decor at the Romantic Log Cabin around a bit again this year; just love doing this! Our return-guests will notice some new and different things around the cabin this year! We had an amazing summer; met many new and interesting guests and also had guests from previous years coming back to spend a wonderful holiday at the Romantic Log Cabin! As I took many pictures of sunsets during this past summer I thought I should share some with you!

Happy Spring! Yes it’s a late spring and wet but it will get better; it always does! We had a beautiful sunset over the lake tonight and I look forward to many more this summer!

Sleepovers are not just for kids!

Who says sleepovers are just for kids? My girlfriends and I had a fabulous time at the cottage; oh we laughed and laughed and we laughed some more!! We enjoyed an other gorgeous sunset and went for a little hike along the beach the next day even though it was bitterly cold!

Looking forward to a weekend at our cottage with 3 of my girlfriends! That should be fun! Lots of plans; what should we be doing? Snowshoeing, skiing, hiking or go for a swim at the Pinedale Inn in Grand Bend or maybe venture out with our cameras?
